C’est La Vie

I was going to sit here and tell you all the life lessons I’m on my way to hashing out and learning from, but I realized I’m no philosopher or teacher at the moment. In fact, I feel like I’ve taken quite a fall; like Bam Margera with a bad case of road rash (check out CKY DVDs). But ya know, anymore, it doesn’t bug me too much. Not now anyway.

I am learning to pick myself up. I’ve been flying high for a while now, and I don’t mean that to brag. Ya know, you fly high for a while, and eventually you have to crash land and say, “Oh damn…this sucks.” But, once you make that statement you have to evaluate the situation, and figure outhow to get back up in the air again.

People’ll be critical, and some are completely right, and some are just full of it. Some people give you a dose of tough love, and others, well…they’re just rude. It all depends. Sometimes tough love is hard to swallow, but in the end, you do know it’s better. You take it for what it’s worth, and realize all the junk, well, just prove ‘em wrong in the long run.

Sometimes, it’s hard to do it and to continue saving face. REALLY hard at some moments. Some moments, it’s not too bad. It just depends. but kicking ass and taking names is the only option. Settling just stagnates, and giving up just brings you down lower than you were even when you fell in the first place.

There are, however, always 2 extremes to any situation, and it’s easy to forget the opposite of where you reside. Doesn’t mean you have to like or accept it, just means you have to remember that it exists. And remembering it exists gives you another perspective, but don’t let yourself get wrapped up in it. That’s easy to do too. Too easy. Because it does influence/impact you in some way, like it or not. But acknowledging it, and worrying about it are different. And I need to get over worrying about it.

As enraging as it can be, and as bad as some days get, just keep going. “It can’t rain all the time,” is quite true. “Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter,” is very true too. So remembering those two things, the only option is to get up, and keep going. I’ll win in the end.
